Ideas for a high school newspaper article?

we have a monthly/bimonthly newspaper, but i really can’t think of an article. Any ideas at all would be really helpful :-D. Some other articles/columns we have are an advice section, fashion, last minute halloween
costumes, etc.(this upcoming paper is focused on autumn and halloween, please help)

cheap halloween decorations? How are people celebrating halloween this year?
Maybe do something about homecoming if that’s coming up (an opinion or photo poll about homecoming events (is it a competition between the classes?) or how people are getting ready for the homecoming game or dance)
Talk to your friends about what they like and don’t like about the school. This sounds like it may be a little different than you’re looking for, but are there any social issues in your school that need addressing (teen mothers? students who drive to school?)

When we writge articles for schools, we must concentrate on the subjects they study and expand their knowledge on those subjects and if need be introduce something more concerning happenings around them.

What about doing a piece on any soldiers that attended your high school. I’d be willing to bet there are a few that are recent graduates. I can imagine that the family of the soldier(s) would be more than happy to give you an interview and photos … some of which could be Halloween costumes of the soldier as a child. This could lead to all types of interesting articles in the future. Good luck, hope you meet the deadline!

You can do a column about asking a boy or girl to go to a Halloween party,scary movies,whats the best costume,places where there are haunted houses,parties for Halloween.
